What makes an “Award Winning” photographer? Well to state the obvious, submitting and winning photo awards in the design, creative and advertising organizations. It’s great for my ego when I win these “self” awards, but really, who else cares! I believe the more important aspect of earning the label “Award Winning”, comes from the awards earned from the Architects, Engineers, Construction and Building Companies when they submit my architectural photography of their projects and win!
The Dallas-Fort Worth TX based masonry company, Artisan Masonry, Inc., recently hired me to provide architectural exterior photography of their masonry construction of the C.A. Miller High School in Murphy, Texas to submit for the Golden Trowel Awards. Artisan Masonry, Inc. provides complete masonry services for commercial construction projects and custom residential properties. Artisan Masonry is a “Nationally Certified Mason Contractor” with 20 years experience in the greater DFW metroplex. Artisan Masonry has an outstanding reputation for exceedingly high safety standards and quality craftmanship and is highly regarded and referred by general contractors, engineers, and architects. Artisan Masonry has won many prestigious awards for outstanding quality projects and my job is to provide them award-winning construction photography that will win them another award, the prestigious Golden Trowel Award.
The Golden Trowel Award symbolizes the International Masonry Institute at its best. Designers, BAC craftworkers, contractors, and Team IMI – architects, engineers and construction professionals — bring together everyone involved in the creation of quality masonry projects that master masonry materials— brick, stone, tile, terrazzo, concrete or glass block, marble, mosaic and plaster — as dominant exterior and/or interior components.
